The Shahadah

The Shahadah is the declaration of faith in Islam. It means "There is no God but The-God, and Muhammad is the messenger of The-God. Arabic: أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ الله ALLAH is an arabic word that means The-God. So basically, to be a Muslim (one who submits to God), you need to believe that God is God . A lot of people say this or that  is God. Islam (Submitting to God) is the only religion where we say God is God. If you want to know why people  deliberately  say  this  or  that  is God instead of saying  God is God.  I'll answer you by simply saying:  God have haters . The Story behind this post : I opened an email from a non-Muslim thinker who has experienced a miracle in every religion (To him, every religion is convincing. So what's the true religion?) I replied... Interesting thoughts. As an Islamic thinker, I believe that every human being (religious or not) will experience mira...

Know the Kind of Life You Are Meant For

Image
In the name of ALLAH and all praises belong to ALLAH  There are people in life who find satisfaction in soul and knowledge work—those who feel fulfilled in guiding others, teaching, and working toward salvation and eternal meaning. And there are people who find satisfaction in business—building, trading, earning money, and then striving for more money as a measure of progress and success. Then there are people who only feel truly satisfied when they build a family— those are people who their sense of purpose is tied to home, relationships, and legacy. Know the kind that you are. Even the Greatest Life Was Not One-Dimensional The life of the Prophet ﷺ is a powerful reminder that human fulfillment is deeply personal. Before Prophethood, he had a beautiful life with an industrious wife and amazing children yet He would often retreat to the cave of Hira. He would retreat to the Cave of Hira for solitude, reflection, and contemplation. He knew something was missing but he couldn...

When Life Feels Delayed: Lessons from the Story of Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhi Salaam)

Image
If there have been many delays in your journey in life, then the story of Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhi Salaam), his household, and his descendants is the perfect antidote for you. A Life of Divine Delay and Divine Purpose Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhi Salaam) is the close friend of ALLAH, yet he did not have a child until a very old age. Then, after finally being blessed with a child, he was commanded to leave his wife and infant son in a barren desert, far from people. And later, he was also commanded to sacrifice that same beloved son—despite being among the most beloved of ALLAH. He is so close to ALLAH that, as mentioned in authentic narrations, he is in the 7th heavens, while Prophet Musa (Alayhi Salaam) is in the sixth heaven. My point is simple: even someone so beloved to ALLAH experienced long delays, intense trials, and moments that looked like abandonment. Delay Is Not Rejection What I am trying to say is this: If your life is filled with hardships, it does not necessarily mea...

Poverty Is Not a Moral Requirement in Islam

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  Poverty Is Not a Moral Requirement in Islam Once upon a time, one of the daughters of Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) rejected the marriage proposal of ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) . This rejection was not because ʿUmar lacked honour, leadership, or righteousness. At the time, ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab was the leader of the Muslims , governing a vast Islamic state—lands that today form entire countries. The Islamic government itself was wealthy. Yet, ʿUmar lived in personal poverty . He chose not to take a salary from the public treasury. He intended to live from his own trade, but leadership consumed his time, and his business suffered. As a result, he lived simply—sometimes harshly. When he proposed, she refused . Why She Refused — And Why No One Condemned Her She refused not out of arrogance , nor greed, nor rebellion against religion. She refused because she knew herself . She feared poverty and knew she could not cope with its hardship. And no o...

The Gender War That Shayṭān Is Currently Waging on Earth

Image
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful To the Sincere Seekers and Deep Thinkers, The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the greatest success for Satan is when he manages to cause separation between a husband and wife. قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ أَحَدُهُمْ فَيَقُولُ: مَا تَرَكْتُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّقْتُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ امْرَأَتِهِ، قَالَ: فَيُدْنِيهِ مِنْهُ وَيَقُولُ: نِعْمَ أَنْتَ “Indeed, Iblīs places his throne upon the water, then he sends out his detachments. The closest of them to him in rank are the greatest in causing tribulations. One of them comes and says: ‘I did such-and-such,’ and Iblīs says: ‘You have done nothing.’ Then one of them comes and says: ‘I did not leave him until I caused separation between him and his wife.’...

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful Sisters in Islam, It's 2025, and apparently, blogging is dead. Especially blogging on BlogSpot — who even does that? Especially in 2025?????? This is the age of AI. Blogging is logging (writing) on the web. Right now, if anyone is writing on the web, we're writing for AI and not for humans. Google, ChatGPT, and the rest of them are crawling whatever we're writing to feed their AI models. And that's where people are getting their answers nowadays. So blogging doesn't make any sense anymore; therefore, I have decided to blog. Yes, the fact that blogging is dead is exactly why it's perfect for me (for now), and I'll tell you why. You see... Many, many, mannny years ago, when I was 10 years old, one of my father's employees told me that I was “solitary in nature.” Interesting words. We were at an Islamic vacation course when ...

ALLAH Is Closer Than You Imagine (The Tasbih from Masjid-l-Haram)

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  ALLAH Is Closer Than You Imagine When I performed Umrah about two months ago, I met a fellow sister from Nigeria who has lived in Makkah for  about 11 years. She was so warm to me—and she speaks Yorùbá. She isn’t Yorùbá by tribe, but she lived in Kwara, and that is how she learned my language. So we spoke Yorùbá inside Masjid al-Ḥarām . We were both happy. As a parting gift, she gave me a tasbih counter. She herself is like a light and a delight. May Almighty ALLAH preserve her. That counter turned out to be a very meaningful gift. A Quiet Intention About two years ago, a grandmother accepted Islam through me. She only began observing Ṣalāh last week. I wanted to give her a gift. And the tasbih counter came to my heart—because it is beautiful to say tasbih after Ṣalāh. Still, I debated with myself. Should I give it to her or not? I kept telling myself, “It’s my gift.” Yet, I went to her house anyway, with the intention of gi...
