A Powerful Lesson on How to Overlook the Errors of Muslims
Your Muslim Brother Is Not?
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH
Sufyān ibn Ḥusayn (رحمه الله) said:
"I mentioned something bad about someone in the presence of Liyaas ibn Muʿāwiyah, so he looked at my face and said:
'Have you invaded Rome?'
I said: 'No.'
He said: 'What about Sind, India, and Turkey?'
I said: 'No.'
He said:
'So Rome, Sind, India, and Turkey are safe from you, but your Muslim brother is not?!'
Sufyān said:
'I never repeated it after that day.'

SubhanaLLAH.
Sometimes, a single sentence is enough to transform a person.
Muslims are humans. Imperfect. Sometimes, we want to dwell on the errors of fellow Believers. However, it is important to know that there are people who are certain of the truth from their LORD and they're still disgusted by it. Those are the ones who are deliberate disbelievers. So whenever a Muslim transgress we should correct with honour or overlook because certainly, this believer is far far far better than people who are actively hateful of The Almighty who made them.
May Almighty ALLAH protect our tongues, purify our hearts, and make us among those who speak only that which is beneficial.
Sincerely,
