Purpose and Meaning
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH
In this life, you need two things:
Purpose and meaning.
For some people, food is meaning.
For some, money is meaning.
For some, a spouse is meaning.
But for others, it is something else which they are yet to find.
Verily, the Prophet ﷺ had a beautiful family and was married to a remarkably wealthy woman, yet He ﷺ went to the Cave of Ḥirā' in search of meaning.
He went there repeatedly.
He reflected deeply.
He was restless.
He ﷺ kept searching for something He had never possessed, yet knew was missing.
Then Almighty ALLAH revealed:
"Read." (Iqra')
The first words of the Qur'an.
Some people find meaning in having a spouse.
A wife.
A husband.
And that is enough for them.
They are no longer searching.
The Prophet ﷺ had this.
He ﷺ was married to a woman whom kings would have been honoured to marry, yet she accepted none of them.
Instead, our Mother Khadījah bint Khuwaylid (RaḍiyaLLAHu 'Anhā) proposed marriage to her employee—the Prophet ﷺ.
What an extraordinary blessing from Almighty ALLAH.
If you do not yet understand what you are meant to do in life, then keep striving.
Keep seeking guidance.
And verily, you will find Almighty ALLAH sufficient for you.
Make no mistake.
I swear by ALLAH, there is perfection in the timing of ALLAH, The Most High, The Absolute.
Perhaps, you are meant to walk a road that only a few people have ever walked.
Perhaps, you are meant to establish a path that no one has ever thought of.
And verily, ALLAH is the Best of Planners.
The Most High.
The Absolute.
Verily, one of the first treasures Almighty ALLAH bestowed upon the father of humanity, our father Ādam (ʿAlayhis-Salām), was knowledge.
It was through knowledge that ALLAH honoured him above the angels and commanded them to prostrate to him.
To everyone who has been chosen with an educational calling.
To every knowledge worker.
To everyone who cannot abandon their research halfway.
To everyone who cannot find peace until they dig to the very end.
To everyone who feels compelled to read everything there is to know about a subject.

I send you a salutation of ease.
