Polygamy in Islam: What the Companions Agreed Upon (Not Sexual Desire)

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  Polygamy in Islam: What the Companions Agreed Upon (Not Sexual Desire) When it comes to polygamy in Islam, many of us have been lied to . Did you know? None of the daughters of the Prophet ﷺ practiced polygamy. The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ agreed that a woman who does not want polygamy may stipulate it as a condition in her marriage contract. There is no evidence in the Qur’an and Sunnah for the claim that polygamy was made permissible because of male sexual desires . Once again, there is literally no evidence connecting polygamy to men’s sexual desires . If you would like to know the only authentic reason polygamy was made ḥalāl , and uncover many other hidden truths , here is your free Polygamy resource . It starts with 20 minutes: 👉 Free Polygamy   Sincerely, Your sister in Islam, Hamidah Author of  Polygamy Ijma’a Stay Up-to-date:  Household Letters

She Accepted Islam

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  She Accepted Islam As a person of grassroots da‘wah, one of the greatest feelings in the world is when your da‘wah efforts yield results. About two years ago, I spoke to an elderly grandma in my neighbourhood until she accepted Islam. I placed the Shahādah on her tongue. I also taught her how to observe Ṣalāh. I tried so hard, but she never started observing Ṣalāh. So I kind of gave up. Today, almost two years later, I visited her and subḥānAllāh—one of the first things she said to me in the Yorùbá language was, “I started praying. I started last week.” This was absolutely unexpected, and verily, all praise belongs to ALLĀH. Listen, guys—I wrote, with my own hand, pen on paper, the simplest instructions on how to observe Ṣalāh in the Yorùbá language for her. I tried so hard. So, so hard. I did a lot to ensure that she observed Ṣalāh, and nothing worked. To be honest, I had lost all hope, and I was no longer expecting her to actually observe Ṣalāh un...

Poverty Is Not Piety in Islam: Qur’an 2:201, Provision, and the Neglect of Believing Women

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  Poverty Is Not Piety: A reflection on why financial neglect of believing women is oppression  Distinguished  Worshippers of ALLAH , In Sha ALLAH, I will never stop speaking about this. I will keep speaking about believing men who use money as a weapon against believing women . And I will keep speaking until this wickedness stops being dressed up as religion. Over the years, we have raised funds — too many times — for women who needed medical treatment, food, rent, and basic human survival. These were not women without husbands. These were women whose husbands had money . Let that sink in. As I'm writing this, a lot of normal men can never even imagine a situation where they ate to their fill but their wife and children are starving. But I'm telling you categorically even if you're not aware that there are a lot of practising Muslim men who are playing with the fire of ALLAH by depriving their families of sufficient and obligatory financial ...

Marriage in Islam: And the Imperfection of the Human Kind

Image
Marriage in Islam: A Reflection on Human Flaws and Divine Dependence Distinguished Sisters in Islam , It doesn’t matter who. Every human is both a victim and a villain. What I'm trying to say is that people will hurt you and you'll also hurt people. Even among the best of people, there will never be perfection.  - Abu Bakr (R.A) offended Umar bn Khattab (R.A) and he apologised. - The Prophet ﷺ asked our Mother ʿĀ’ishah (رضي الله عنها) to repent if she had committed what the entire city accused her of—even though the accusation was false. In countless situations, the Prophet ﷺ Himself was wronged. Yet in the incident of Ifk (the slander of Mother Aisha), He ﷺ did not immediately affirm her innocence. Instead, He asked her to turn to Allah in repentance if she had done wrong. She then turned away from Him and placed her trust entirely in Almighty Allah—until Allah revealed verses declaring her innocence. So may peace be upon the household of Muhammad ﷺ. This inc...

Polygamy in Islam: I DON’T WANT MY HUSBAND TO MARRY ANOTHER WIFE — Your Number One Unexpected Story

Image
﷽ BismiLLAH. AlhamduliLLAH. “I DON’T WANT MY HUSBAND TO MARRY ANOTHER WIFE. I don’t want polygamy.” It is enough heartache to think about how traumatising it would feel to share one’s spouse intimately—both emotionally and physically. If merely thinking about it, without actually living through it, can cause so much pain, how painful would living through it be? The pain of polygamy has changed many married women into what they are not. And the pain they undergo—I am certain I do not want to know. I want to live a life of living , not coping. I want to live a life where I speak about the mercy of ALLAH most of the time, not about His tests all the time. I want to live a life of tranquillity, not rancour. I want to be in the kind of marriage that the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ— Zaynab bint Muhammad —was in; the marriage that Ruqayyah bint Muhammad was in: a monogamous marriage . I want a marriage that will be a source of mercy, love, and tranquillity. I do not want to...

Sisters in Islam, please do not marry men who use money as a weapon

Image
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful Distinguished  Sisters in Islam , please stay away from poor men. I know you've all heard of the verse of the Qur'an where Almighty ALLAH promised to provide for you if you are poor. However, have you heard of the verse where The Almighty says you should practice self-restraint if you're poor? If you know the amount of calamity poverty has caused in Muslim families. You'll stay away from marrying poor men. Yes, there are “20 million people” with success stories. But what about the rest of the “200 million people” with straight up horror stories? My sisters, they always love to brainwash you with this beautiful verse:  “Marry off the single ones among you, and the righteous among your male and female servants. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.”  (Qur’an 24:32) There's nothing wrong with the verse. It is a ...

Tajweed and tongue tie (it is possible to have a tongue tie without knowing): Lesson 3

Image
BismiLLAH AlhamduliLLAH  Tajweed Journey | Vol. 3   (Do you know that it's possible to have a tongue tie without realising it?)  Memorising Before Tajweed (Here's why) Throughout my life, I've always struggled with Tajweed and I couldn't figure out why. Until, I discovered recently, at 28, that I have a tongue tie. I n order to save other people from what I struggled with, I decided to write this letter. So here it goes.... You need your tongue to pronounce 17 of the Arabic alphabets. If you have a tongue tie, you won't be able to pronounce them properly . It doesn't matter how hard you try or how long your Tajweed teacher trains you. So here's the problem. It is possible to have a tongue tie without knowing. I am a chief example of this. Look at the image above. According to that image, the severe tongue tie is extremely obvious. It is called an anterior tongue tie. If you have it you'll know. Doctors will also know. Where the problem l...

Most of you (Muslim men) are horrible providers

Image
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful Distinguished Worshippers of ALLAH, Isn’t it so interesting that when it comes to any obligatory deed, the instruction is always “do your absolute best and fulfill it to the highest level.” But when it comes to the obligation of providing for women, suddenly the hypocrisy appears. Suddenly, Islamic scholars and brothers put ten feet down and insist—using all their strength and power—that “you only have to provide the necessity.” “Nothing else is expected of you except the necessity.” Subḥāna’Llāh! What an innā li’Llāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn situation. May Almighty ALLAH save this Ummah from the subtle and successful plots of Shayṭān. It's so unfortunate and shameful that some of you have never provided necessities in your life. All you provide is humiliation and hardship and then you insist that it's necessity. What a disgrace and calamity. My brothers in Islam, one of the...

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful Sisters in Islam, It's 2025, and apparently, blogging is dead. Especially blogging on BlogSpot — who even does that? Especially in 2025?????? This is the age of AI. Blogging is logging (writing) on the web. Right now, if anyone is writing on the web, we're writing for AI and not for humans. Google, ChatGPT, and the rest of them are crawling whatever we're writing to feed their AI models. And that's where people are getting their answers nowadays. So blogging doesn't make any sense anymore; therefore, I have decided to blog. Yes, the fact that blogging is dead is exactly why it's perfect for me, and I'll tell you why. You see... Many, many, mannny years ago, when I was 10 years old, one of my father's employees told me that I was “solitary in nature.” Interesting words. We were at an Islamic vacation course when this was said. Those w...

the not so perfect beings

Image
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful Distinguished Worshippers of ALLAH,  Indeed, Almighty ALLAH is the best of Creators. It's just so interesting to me that after HE, The Most High has made the angels — The Perfect Beings HE then went on to create humans — The Imperfect Beings I'm telling you that you and I haven't estimated Almighty ALLAH with an estimation that's due to HIM Indeed, HE is the best of Creators, The Absolute. Brothers and sisters in Islam, it has become clear to me that some people do not recognise the danger in themselves as a human being. It has occured to me that some humans think of themselves as good. Listen, every human have good and bad in them at different percentages. There's no human except that they have flaws. It is impossible to be human and perfect. That can't exist. Even the Prophet ﷺ got corrected by Almighty ALLAH more than once in the glorious Qur'an. So what's ...
